This December edition of the Times is the last for 2022, leading us into Christmas and festivities with families and friends.
We are pleased to announce Rhondda Todd has been appointed to the management committee as Guest Speaker Coordinator taking over from Peter Llewellyn.
The death of the Queen has been received with incredible sadness. This addition of The Times Newsletter contains tributes to Her Majesty.
In late July we were treated to a trip to Redcliffe and the Deception Bay area, which even the rain could not dampen. Thank you to our leaders who organised this event, it was a most enjoyable day. September is our first month of Spring and I believe we are all ready for it.
In August and September we have a feast of events thanks to the activities volunteers and their organisational skills.
At the end of May we had a great time at Pizza in he Park which was attended by 33 members and guests. In early June we has an enjoyable morning at the Probus Trivia Challenge at the Geebung RSL.
After a quite start to the year in May, we look forward a Club Lunch, Pizza in the Park, the Bridge Group, Walking Group and our Ladies’ and Men’s Coffee Mornings.
A huge thank you to all the members who volunteer to make our General Meetings run smoothly, this month and every month. We hope that you gain as much out of being in the club as you selflessly contribute.
Our Annual General Meeting for 2022 signaled the start of another Probus year welcoming in our new Management Committee and supporting team that makes our Club operate so successfully, meeting the Probus mantra of Fun, Friendship and Fellowship.
As a new year dawns for our Hamilton Probus Club, we commerce our 32nd year as an accredited Probus Club. Our accreditation date was 14th December 1990. We have much to be proud of in this club and its longevity This is my last contribution as President.
Welcome to 2022. Here we are, a New Year, new resolutions, new possibilities, familiar restrictions about to come in force. Wouldn’t it be great if we could escape it all?
