Club members enjoyed another Christmas celebration at the Royal Queensland Golf Club. Our President, David McEvoy, thank all for coming and gave an amusing thank you to the various members who had helped during the year.
We have enjoyed a great year in our club with an array of well supported activities, outings and meetings that resonate with friendship and fun. None of this happens without a great deal of voluntary effort from our committee and organisers. Thank you all.
37 members enjoyed a splendid outing to the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron thanks to Bill and Margot Kirby who planned and hosted the day together with the events coordinator Leon Papi.
Outings to the Berghofer Institute, Ormiston House, and the PAQ Golf Day ran smoothly and were enjoyed by all
August has been a great month in Brisbane and for Hamilton Probus with magnificent weather at the end of winter and a continuing schedule of activities.
The brilliant winter weather has been a showcase for recent events and activities as 23 of us sampled the flora and exhibits at the Nambour Garden Show Expo in July, and on Friday 13th without mishap !!
The Portside Dendy event, “Luisa Miller” was a great success and was really enjoyed. Later in the month this was followed with a lovely day at “Pizza in the Park”, at Kalinga Park.
Following two successful meetings, an enjoyable dinner and outings, and the launch of our website, we can feel satisfied that Hamilton Probus is off to a good start for 2018.
