About Interest Groups
The Hamilton Probus Club membership comprises a wide spectrum of interests which are well catered for by regular club functions and activities as well as local outside interest groups. From discussions with existing members introductions are often made to local groups and clubs such as book and bridge clubs, travel group and wine appreciation.
As Probus Club members we pride ourselves in welcoming our new members and sharing our interests.
Men’s Shed Coffee Mornings
Every second Tuesday of the month. The venue for each month is published in the Times Newsletter and a reminder emailed out to members the week before.
Ladies’ Coffee Mornings
Every fourth Tuesday of the month. The venue for each month is published in the Times Newsletter and a reminder emailed out to members the week before.
Walking Group
Generally on the third Tuesday of the month. Confirmation of dates will be published in the Times Newsletter with relevant details announced at the proceeding General Meeting as well as forwarded to members of the Walking Group by email.
Bridge and Games Group
Every second Wednesday of the month. The venue and time will be confirmed in the Times Newsletter as well as being announced at the monthly General Meeting. Whilst a variety of games can be played, currently bridge and Mah-jong are in play.
Little Book Corner
Leave a favourite book to share or borrow a book. Discuss your impressions over a cup tea or coffee with others who have read the book.
Music and Arts Group
Follow the Brisbane music and arts scene with other group members.
Arts on the Big Screen
Join like minded members at special showings on the “Big Screen” of Ballet and Opera performances by world acclaimed companies as well as documentaries and exhibitions otherwise unavailable to be seen in Australia.
Armchair Travel Group
For past and future travelers interested in sharing travel experiences. Gain ideas from other travelers to find your next exciting destination.
